WHO: Families eager to enjoy Halloween fun amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
WHAT: Safe trick-or-treating from personal vehicles in a Halloween drive-thru, part of the “A Decade of Difference” 10th birthday celebration throughout 2020. A maximum 500 vehicles will follow a route near Morgan’s Wonderland and pause for Halloween treats along the way. Vehicles will enter at the Thousand Oaks-Quarry Park intersection near Heroes Stadium, wind around Toyota Field and finish near the unique theme park’s Welcome Center on David Edwards Drive.
WHEN: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020.
WHERE: Morgan’s Wonderland, 5223 David Edwards Drive (at the intersection of Wurzbach Parkway and Thousand Oaks Drive a half-mile west of IH 35 in Northeast San Antonio.)
WHY: To safely share Halloween fun, even though Morgan’s Wonderland made the difficult decision to close the park for the rest of the year because of the pandemic. Also, to collect non-perishable food for the San Antonio Food Bank.
ETC.: Morgan’s Wonderland officials strongly recommend the purchase of a $10 per vehicle admission ticket online or bring 10 non-perishable food items to the park by 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, to receive a voucher for free drive-thru admission. Guests will be asked to remain in their vehicles, and Morgan’s Wonderland staff and volunteers from Rotary Clubs in Greater San Antonio will follow COVID-19 CDC guidelines.
