Morgan’s Wonderland, Morgan’s Inspiration Island To Hold Career Event Jan. 28-29

SAN ANTONIO – Ultra-Accessible™, fully-inclusive Morgan’s Wonderland theme park and award-winning Morgan’s Inspiration Island splash park will hold a career event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, to fill hourly openings, according to CEO Jessica Lizardo.

“It’s very important that prospective employees apply online to be considered for an onsite interview,” she said. “Once we receive an applicant’s resume through our website, we’ll evaluate the application and send him or her an email containing further career event details.”

Lizardo said jobseekers should submit information about themselves to https://www.MorgansWonderland.com/about-us/employment/.

Morgan’s Wonderland, which will begin its 2022 season March 4, and Morgan’s Inspiration Island, which is scheduled to open later this spring, need staff members in Guest Services (hosts in guest relations and admissions) as well as food/retail services employees. Also, Operations is seeking ride hosts and ride operators. Available positions in Entertainment include mascots, handlers and puppeteers.

“Morgan’s Wonderland and Morgan’s Inspiration Island are truly inspiring work environments that exist nowhere else in the world,” Lizardo said. “They were designed with individuals with special needs in mind and built for everyone’s enjoyment. We’re looking for caring, compassionate team members with the requisite job skills to join our team.”

Non-profit Morgan’s Wonderland offers more than 25 attractions including wheelchair-accessible rides, playscapes and gardens. At Morgan’s Inspiration Island, guests enjoy all kinds of aquatic fun in the sun, thanks to splash pads with spouts, geysers, dumping buckets and lots of other get-wet gizmos. The splash park, named by TIME Magazine to its inaugural list of 100 World’s Greatest Places, includes support facilities such as the Wheelchair Valet, where guests can transfer out of their personal chairs into specially-designed waterproof wheelchairs.

Both Morgan’s Wonderland and Morgan’s Inspiration Island admit anyone with a physical or cognitive special need free of charge. Both are located at 5223 David Edwards Drive in Northeast San Antonio, a half-mile west of IH 35 at the intersection of Wurzbach Parkway and Thousand Oaks Drive.
