Lots of Family Fun in View for ’22 as Morgan’s Wonderland Launches New Season March 4

SAN ANTONIO – Unique, Ultra-Accessible™, fully-inclusive Morgan’s Wonderland theme park will launch its 2022 season of family fun Friday, March 4, and continue daily operation for spring break through Sunday, March 13.

The non-profit park will welcome guests from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. opening day, March 4; from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 5; and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 6. Opening weekend will then transition into the spring break schedule – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, March 7, through Saturday, March 12, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 13. Spring break will mark the return of a new edition of highly popular “Music, Mutts, Magic and More,” special entertainment that’s free with park admission, March 7-12, said Jessica Lizardo, Morgan’s Wonderland CEO. Included will be musical performances, exhibitions by acrobatic dogs, feats of magic and appearances by the park’s mascot, Joy the Butterfly. Park guests also can enjoy new Exploration Station at Sensory Village, a collection of storefronts with interactive activities that engage the senses. Exploration Station now adds the Sand Table, the Selfie Wall and Draw Alive to amp up the fun.

“Music, Mutts, Magic and More” will be presented in addition to more than 25 Morgan’s Wonderland attractions such as wheelchair-accessible rides, playscapes and other enjoyable elements. The lineup of special spring-break entertainment March 7-12, will be as follows:

  • Joy the Butterfly interactive appearances (Monday through Saturday).
  • Walk Around Magic with the Astonishing Mr. Pitts (Monday through Saturday).
  • “Happy Tails” animal interaction show (Monday through Wednesday) and “Pups and Pals” acrobatic dog show (Thursday through Saturday).
  • Jam session in Music Garden (Monday through Saturday).
  • Interactive appearances by Inclusion Ambassadors, Professor Flutterwing and Duke Huggington as well as meet-and-greets with therapy dog teams (Monday through Saturday).

“Since Morgan’s Wonderland opened in spring 2010, the park has welcomed more than 2 million guests from all 50 states and over 100 other countries,” Lizardo noted. “And we’ve continued to admit anyone and everyone with a special need free of charge.”

Morgan’s Wonderland is part of non-profit Morgan’s Inclusion Initiative, the umbrella organization that coordinates planning, fundraising and communications for the Morgan’s Wonderland “family” of Ultra-Accessible™, fully-inclusive endeavors.
