Pirate Island

The Legend of Pirate Island!

Ages ago, the remains of a pirate ship washed ashore in central San Antonio, leaving city folk and landlubbers to sift through the wreckage. The remains told tales of an inclusive tomorrow, celebrated courageous caregivers, and shared secrets of amusement parks from the past. Some say that the ship was full of magic, and if it ever made land… it would change the world.

Come as you arrr

Today, we call that enchanted land Pirate Island! Located on the dock of The Wharf, Pirate Island is home to an Ultra-Accessible™ themed playground recognized by its high-flying flags and ship sails. Here, people of all abilities are transported into a world without barriers. Friends and family can explore a wheelchair-accessible playscape, board the Sway Fun to embark on a sensory adventure, play their own island tunes, and enjoy age-old family fun.

My son loves the pirate ship!! He asks me if we can go to Morgan’s Wonderland every time we pass it.

Did you know?

Softshell and hardshell turtles are often seen sunbathing along the shoreline of Pirate Island.

Pirate Island has the same rubberized flooring that is found throughout Butterfly Playground.

Just past Pirate Island, off the dock of The Wharf, you can find a true hidden gem – a group of three tables that offer a picturesque setting for lunch on the lake. You’ll also pass an Insta-worthy photo op! Remember to use #MorgansWonderland to share the love!
