WHO:                   Wish kid Giovanni, 6, of Benicia, Calif., who suffers from cerebral palsy and Fanconi syndrome, a kidney disorder.

WHAT:                 Granting Giovanni’s one true wish to visit ultra-accessible™ Morgan’s Wonderland and Morgan’s Inspiration Island, the world’s first theme park and splash park, respectively, designed with special-needs individuals in mind and built to be enjoyed by everyone.  This magical wish will be granted by Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas and Make-A-Wish Greater San Francisco Bay Area.

WHEN:                 Scheduled to arrive at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018.  (Giovanni is scheduled to arrive at 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 at Morgan’s Inspiration Island.)

WHERE:               Morgan’s Wonderland and Morgan’s Inspiration Island, 5223 David Edwards Drive (at the intersection of Wurzbach Parkway and Thousand Oaks Drive a half-mile west of IH 35 in Northeast San Antonio).

WHY:                    To enable Wish kids to enjoy a day of fun, create lasting memories with family members and provide a respite from the day-to-day regimen of medical treatment.

ETC.:                      Non-profit Morgan’s Wonderland, which is completely wheelchair-accessible, features more than 25 attractions including rides, playscapes and gardens.  It was proclaimed 2017 “Park of the Year” in the Golden Ticket Awards sponsored by Amusement Today.  Morgan’s Inspiration Island, which opened just a year ago, earned the Leading Edge Award from the World Waterpark Association.  For more information, visit www.MorgansWonderland.com.
